Indefensible Defense

Let’s agree on one thing: we spend too many of our defense dollars badly, and the Obama-Hagel cuts are going to make that problem worse, not better. By cutting benefits for servicepeople and not first taking a flamethrower to the antiquated and dysfunctional procurement apparatus, we are going to wind up with the worst defense posture since the 1970s, and probably since the 1930s.
